Limitr help

Limitr Support

Quick answers for connecting providers, refreshing usage, configuring widgets, and keeping your credentials private.

Connect a provider

Open Limitr, choose Claude, Cursor, or Codex, and follow the provider’s sign-in flow. Provider credentials are saved in the Apple Keychain on your device.

Refresh usage

Use the refresh button in Limitr or the Mac menu bar. Automatic refresh timing is controlled in Settings. Provider availability and Apple background scheduling can delay an update.

Re-authenticate an account

If a provider rejects an expired credential, open the account details and choose Re-authenticate. Complete the sign-in flow again to replace the old credential.

Disconnect and remove data

Open the connected account, choose Disconnect, and confirm. Limitr removes its credential, local account record, cached usage, and scheduled notifications from that device.

Home Screen and desktop widgets

After connecting an account, open the system widget gallery and add Limitr. If a widget has not updated yet, open Limitr and perform one successful refresh.

Notifications

Enable Limit alerts in Settings, then select the warnings you want. Notification delivery depends on system permission and may be delayed by operating-system background scheduling.
