Limitr legal

Limitr Privacy Policy

Limitr keeps your AI usage limits visible without sending your credentials or usage history to Buuk Group.

Effective July 19, 2026

1. Overview

Limitr is developed and published by Buuk Group OÜ, Registry Code 17370333, registered at Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju Maakond, Estonia. This policy explains how the Limitr apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac handle information.

Limitr has no account system, advertising, or tracking. Buuk Group does not operate a Limitr server that receives your provider credentials or usage data.

2. Information stored on your device

When you connect Claude, Cursor, or Codex, the credential returned by that provider is stored in the Apple Keychain on your device. Connected account details, usage snapshots, reset times, widget preferences, notification preferences, and refresh settings are stored locally on your device or in the app group shared with Limitr widgets.

This local information is used only to display your limits, refresh usage, power widgets, and deliver the notifications you choose to enable.

3. Requests to AI providers

Limitr sends authentication and usage requests directly from your device to the provider you connect. These requests are not routed through Buuk Group infrastructure. Anthropic, Cursor, and OpenAI process those requests under their own terms and privacy policies.

Buuk Group cannot view your provider password, authentication credential, account usage, prompts, conversations, or source code through Limitr.

4. Tips and App Store purchases

Optional tips are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Limitr does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may provide Buuk Group with transaction and financial reporting information as described in Apple’s own privacy policy.

5. Retention and deletion

Your Limitr data remains on your device until you remove it. Disconnecting an account deletes its saved credential, account record, cached usage, and scheduled Limitr notifications from that device. Deleting the app removes its app data; Keychain items can also be removed by disconnecting the account before deletion.

Because Buuk Group does not receive or maintain a copy of your Limitr account data, there is no remote Limitr account or server-side profile to delete.

6. Security

Limitr relies on Apple platform security, the Keychain, app sandboxing, and encrypted HTTPS connections. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so you should also protect access to your Apple devices and provider accounts.

7. Children’s privacy

Limitr is a developer utility and is not directed to children. Buuk Group does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Limitr.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Limitr’s functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date below will be updated when material changes are published.
